Why we need you

Formica Digital is expanding. To facilitate our growth we are looking for freelance colleagues who can help us provide sufficient support to our present and future customers.

We prefer not to work with recruiters or outsourcing agencies, so we can guarantee a direct and mutually beneficial relationship.

How we can work together

Our company is based in Antwerp, Belgium from where we service both local and multinational organizations, both on-premise or remote.

If Covid-19 has taught us one thing, is that remote work has plenty of benefits for both employer, employee, and customer. An extra benefit and opportunity is the fact we do not have to source our colleagues locally anymore. And this is where you come in.

You will work for and with us from the safety of your home, with regular stand-ups via Microsoft Teams. So there is no need to throw your life upside down and move abroad. However, now and again we might ask you to travel to our main office in Belgium – the land of beer, fries and chocolates – for a few days. (We're sure you can imagine worse things to do ;) )

What we expect from you

Experience with Liferay DXP
Expertise in Java
Frontend knowledge including HTML, CSS, and Javascript
Independent work ethics
Ability to report progress during standups
Professional level of English
Experience in Elasticsearch is a big plus
Experience with secure coding guidelines makes us extra happy
A resident of the EEU
