We have built our ATS in Google Appsheet

The war for talent has been raging for many years. A fast and efficient recruitment process is without a doubt an important asset today to be ahead of the competition.

Applicant tracking software (ATS) supports in streamlining the process of recruiting and hiring new talent. An ATS can be a component of a full-fledged HRM (Human Resource Management) platform or can be acquired as a SAAS (software as a service). Workday, Greenhouse, Peoplesoft, Recruitee … are a few known ATS examples.

Formica is a fast-growing consulting company constantly in need of onboarding new talent. Having a fast and efficient recruitment process is very important to us and our candidates. That's why we decided to create our own ATS using Google Appsheet, Google's no-code platform.
We already had Appsheet, so we didn’t need to acquire any licenses or subscriptions for an ATS and because Appsheet is no-code, it took us only a few days to create and test the application.

Our Appsheet ATS allows us to register new candidates to the recruitment pipeline and to keep track of contact details and status in the recruitment funnel. 
When resumes are screened and interviews are done, notes can be kept and status can be changed.

Candidates that stay too long in the pipeline without any follow-up, it will be highlighted with color-coding in the dashboard. Notifications can also be configured to notify users of specific events. Notifications are managed by the users themselves.

The Appsheet recruitment application has reporting functionality so we can easily keep track of our KPIs. The visualization shows us the average time to hire. The recruitment funnel shows us on a monthly basis how many candidates move from one state to the other.

Performance

Finally, the next step is to integrate the job application form on our website www.formica.digital with our recruitment application. When a candidate applies via the form on our website, the candidate will be registered automatically in the recruitment application for further follow-up. All we need to do for this in Appsheet is to enable the API on our recruitment application.
