My first steps in the professional world

A pandemic is certainly not the best period to start your career as a full-time developer, but luckily, I got a nice and warm welcome and received some lovely Formica gadgets next to a bunch of colleagues who are very supportive and helpful. They are always eager to answer my questions and guide me in the right direction.

Keep learning

The first project that I got is the website revamp of the Formica site which is made in Magnolia CMS. Prior to that I didn’t have any Magnolia CMS experience, but the Java knowledge I acquired from my college degree did help me to master it faster.

Thanks to the support from Jonas Lesy and other Formica colleagues, I managed to get the Magnolia associate developer certificate. Meanwhile, I can keep exploring and learning in this fast-changing world.

TGIF and much more

From time-to-time Formica holds activities for the employees. It’s always a joy to meet up with colleagues and have a chat about other topics than work. We have TGIFs (thank god it's Friday), Christmas parties, New year parties, team buildings, and much more. Although not all the events are held physically due to the pandemic, it’s always a pleasure to catch up with colleagues.
